El Niño, You Can Still Be Ready – Anco Design Build
The need to get ready is happening right now. El Niño has already started and is predicted to be extraordinarily strong this year. It has already started on our coastal areas. The higher Pacific ocean water temperatures is proof that this is happening now. While you cannot stop the El Niño weather pattern, you can take measures to safeguard your home.
Your best protection from the El Niño storms, is to be ready. We suggest drainage improvements and upgrades such as roof gutters and drain systems to help channel water away from your foundations. A good drain system will include thick PVC piping known as ABS piping flowing towards the street. Standing water around your foundations should not be acceptable. A well designed drainage system will include street core drills to remove standing water from your property. Water intrusion into your walls is the leading cause of mold. Mold will devalue your property dramality. Also, mold can cause serve health issues and severe cases can cause death.
While making these improvements, you should consider installing a whole house backup generator system. Your generator will be available 24/7 providing with needed power during black conditions, which occur more often during these heavy storms. If you have a solar panel system that is no longer supported by the installer, then call us. We can help with low cost updates to get you up and running again. We offer free consultations to help you with all of your electrical needs. If you have an existing solar panel system, your solar panels can charge up storage batteries for use during a power outage.
