Make Your Vote Count

Election season is an important reminder that each of us has a role to play in shaping the future of our community. Local government touches our lives every day through the roads we drive, parks and facilities we enjoy, public safety services we depend on and programs that help make Santa Clarita a great place to live.
One of the most direct ways residents can participate in local government is by voting.
On November 3, Santa Clarita will hold its second by-district City Council election. Registered voters in Districts 2, 4 and 5 will each have the opportunity to elect a City Councilmember to represent their district for a four-year term. Districts 1 and 3 will next hold elections in 2028.
With Election Day approaching, now is a good time to make sure you are prepared. Check your voter registration, find out which City Council district you live in, review your ballot and learn about the candidates and issues before casting your vote.
Being an engaged resident goes beyond Election Day. It means staying informed about what is happening in your neighborhood, asking questions, attending community meetings and sharing your input with the City. Santa Clarita is strongest when residents are connected to their local government and understand how to participate.
Whether this is your first election or you have been voting for decades, take the time to be informed and prepared this November.
