One of the most valuable things that you can take into 2010 is all of the wonderful lessons that you learned in 2009. The reality is, it’s not important whether or not everything turned out the way that you wanted it to or whether or not you achieved all of your goals for 2009. The important thing is discovering whether or not you came out of 2009 better or bitter. For some of us, we have spent too much of our lives asking the wrong question. We have been asking “Why did this happen?” when the question really should become “What am I supposed to learn from this?” Regardless of whether or not situations turn out the way that you want them to, see to it that you always learn from them. In learning from our tests and trials, we ensure that we come out better and not bitter. I do not believe in failure. Even if something does not turn out the way that you planned, you didn’t fail, you only succeeded at discovering a new way in which something doesn’t work. As we go into 2010, the question is this: What did you learn in 2009 that will lend itself to the progression and productivity that you desire to see in 2010? How many ways did you succeed in discovering how things do not work? Use the powerful lessons of 2009 to help you have an awesome 2010. Be sure that you do not create unnecessary cycles in 2010. Use the lessons from 2009 to break unnecessary cycles, habits, stresses, problems, trials, and moments of testing. Pay attention to what worked for you in 2009. Pay attention to WHO worked for you in 2009. Remember that 2009 taught us a lot about how to deal with 2010. Do not ignore the red flags that were revealed in 2009. Those flags will help you avoid unnecessary stress in 2010. Pay attention to everything that was exposed in 2009 and use it to have a wonderful 2010. As you move forward into 2010, remember the lessons you learned in 2009 – they are not designed to work against you, but rather for you, so use them to your advantage.
