Friday, January 15 marked a great day for Santa Clarita. A new 17-acre park was dedicated to LA County by Newhall Land. The new park is located in the West Creek Community at 24247 Village Circle right next to Rio Norte Junior High. Joining guests were Greg McWilliams, President of Newhall Land and Russ Guiney, Director for LA County Department of Parks and Recreation. The park features a par course with four exercise stations, basketball court, two playgrounds, amphitheatre seating area, two group picnic shelters with tables and braziers, office space for park staff, restroom facilities, parking, security lighting, drinking fountains and it’s connected to paseos’ and the river trail.
