It’s the lucky month of March, and I must say I was a lucky girl to have a recent sighting of my own! I spotted actor Michael DeLorenzo in Los Angeles last month. He is a talented actor and was sweet enough to take a photo with me.
Michael DeLorenzo started out as a dancer in the motion picture and television series Fame. You may recognize him from Michael Jackson’s Beat It video, one of the most popular music videos of all time. He also played Private First Class William T. Santiago in the hit movie A Few Good Men. From 1994-1997, Michael also starred as Detective Eddie Torres on the Fox television series New York Undercover.
A few weeks back Saugus residents Patricia Serrano, Celeste Serrano and Laura Rodarte spotted the Dodger Caravan at Roscoe’s House of Chicken and Waffles near La Brea. Centerfielder Matt Kemp, pitchers James McDonald and Ramon Troncoso and former Dodger pitcher Fernando Valenzuela were seen saying hello to customers. They were available for autographs later that day at the Dodgers Rally at Olvera Street.
“I was really excited to see Matt Kemp,” states Patricia. “He was so nice!” Matt Kemp plays centerfield for the Los Angeles Dodgers. He was drafted by the Dodgers in the 6th round in 2003, and made his Major League debut in 2006 against the Washington Nationals. He went one for four in his first at bats, and homered just a few days later in front of the home crowd at Dodger Stadium.
