Hart & Main – Ground Breaking! Taking Reservations For May, 2022!

When Rob and Lisa Younkin approached the owner of an old family-run auto repair shop back in 2018, they had envisioned everything from start to finish: they had a plan to develop their own small apartment complex and bring their combined aesthetic ideas to life. However, when a logistical problem put a halt to their plans, they had to shift gears pretty quickly. Now, instead of planning for the unveiling of a new apartment complex, they’re busy making plans for the grand opening of a far more exciting project: a one-of-a-kind event venue right here in Santa Clarita.
“Every few weeks I would stop by and check in with the owner of the auto shop,” says Owner and Developer Rob Younkin. “Eventually we ended up developing a friendship, where I acted as a resource for him while he got his affairs in order for retirement, and as our relationship grew, he ended up selling the place to me. Now, we want to make sure his legacy is remembered in this space,” says Owner and Developer Robert Younkin.
Between them, Rob and Lisa share years of real estate and construction experience. The plan has always been to combine their knowledge and shared resources to create a new project that would fit right into Old Town Newhall.
“We purchased this property in 2018 with the idea of mixed unit development; however, the lots here are pretty narrow and the neighbors were not willing to sell,” Rob shares. “So we focused on different ideas that evolved into something more akin to what we do…that is, building a space to rent to people and from there, it took on a life of its own.”
As the Younkins worked to bring their idea to life, they enlisted the help of an equally dedicated and experienced group. Today, Hart & Main is comprised of the Younkins and their highly qualified team of designers, wedding planners, and restaurateurs who all coordinate with one another to ensure that the venue is every bride and groom’s dream come true.
The team has been diligently working to provide a quality space for its clientele that is beautifully designed and versatile enough to host a variety of styles, so they can cater to each and every unique event.
“Looking at our business plan from a customers’ perspective has given us the opportunity to have a business that not only provides a beautiful space but something that has character and adds to the growth to the community,” continued Robert.
As of Summer 2021, construction has officially begun on the venue, and the Hart & Main team has started booking events for May 2022 . With the help of Intertex General Contractors, Inc they’re making progress towards their dream event venue – all while paying homage to the original auto shop that paved the way for it to come to life.
