Dr. David Tanner and his staff are very proud and pleased to announce that they have won a national competition held by the American Dental Association for “Adult Preventative Practice of the Year.” They were honored for their leadership, preventive care excellence, and their practical strategies in treating their adult patients. Dr. Novy, a member of the practice for several years, represented their office and received this award in Honolulu, Hawaii, September 30, 2009 at the American Dental Association’s 150th Annual Session.
Throughout Dr. Tanner’s 28 years of practicing in the Santa Clarita Valley, he and his dedicated staff have transitioned and accepted the changes that have occurred in dentistry and the world. Whether it is changes in philosophies of preventative dentistry, such as educating patients in cavity prevention through the use of CAMBRA (Caries Management By Risk Assessment), or changes in dental materials and procedures, such as the use of implants. Technological changes have been adopted in his practice, such as digital x-rays, laser cavity detection (Diagnodent) and going green with the use of computers in each operatory. Dr Tanner feels by staying fresh and up to date with all the new technologies and information regarding the ever-changing dental world, he keeps himself motivated and enthusiastic about his work and what he can offer to his patients.
Dr. Tanner and his staff always keep their patient’s best interest in mind with their knowledge and years of experience. Dr. Tanner has worked with the same team for several years. As they were trying to figure out how many years each has been with the practice, they figured a collective 152 years of service and experience they have offered to their patients. They are proud to say that they have made it their goal to provide their patients with the highest quality dental care in a personalized and efficient manner so their patients may enjoy optimal dental health throughout their lifetime.
