When it comes to weight loss there are many avenues available to help us reach our goals.  Starting with a myriad of diets from books, nutritional guides and eating programs.  And if that’s not enough, there’s also medication, weight loss pills, liposuction and even gastric bypass surgery.  However, statistics are increasingly showing that in many cases, regardless of which of these avenues is taken, people eventually return to their previous state.  The weight returns and the stomach stretches back to its original state.

It’s because the one thing that these avenues aren’t providing us with is the power to change our behavior. They are not dealing with the part of our minds (the subconscious) where these behaviors and habits are rooted and conditioned.  If we don’t change the behavior, ultimately our minds treat our bodies the same and our old eating habits return.  Thus, our relationship with our bodies and with food remains the same.  You cannot bypass the behavior and expect long-term change.  It’s that simple.

The best scientifically-proven way to effectively break habits and change behavior is hypnosis.  It is one of the most natural methods of all the avenues available.  Stephanie, who’s a client states, “I’ve read many books and I know all the diets and information to lose weight.  But it hasn’t worked for me because at some point I hit a wall and give up.  I now realize that I’ve created that wall, which is why I haven’t followed through with my diets.  I would get on the scale and if the number didn’t meet my expectation, I would feel like a failure.  I no longer give the scale that power and there are no walls.  Those negative triggers that once caused me to eat have faded away.  I also feel that my lifestyle, my behavior with how I eat has changed and I’m enjoying food more than any other time in my life.  I feel in control, the motivation and willpower are there and I can eat smaller portions and still feel satisfied.  I don’t feel deprived, it’s like my mind makes it more automatic for me and I no longer struggle against myself.  I feel better about my body as my self-worth has been positively affected by this wonderful process.  As for permanent weight loss, hypnotherapy has been the best plan for me.”
