Westfield Valencia Town Center announced new additions for the second year of the highly successful WFamily program, the free membership program that enhances the family shopping experience by connecting it’s members with family friendly events, money-saving promotions, and special amenities offered exclusively at Westfield Shopping Centers. The new WFamily program elements include an event series with partner Radio Disney on “Westfield Family Fridays,” the second Friday of every month; a Monthly Retailer Calendar highlighting family retailer events, promotions and offers; and the Family Shopping Guide, providing a targeted list and directory of family-friendly retailers, eateries and amenities.
To kick off these programs, Westfield Valencia Town Center has planned a weekend of fun, which began at, launch event. The event, from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m., featured music, activities and prize giveaways from Radio Disney, a new partner for the program. In addition, special retailer events and activities occured over the weekend, including: Face painting, balloon artist, food sampling and demonstrations.
“We were excited to introduce the new elements of our WFamily program at our launch event on Saturday, May 22,” said Theone Miller, Marketing Director. “We have partnered with Radio Disney and the best of Westfield Valencia Town Center’s family- friendly retailers to create a fun and informative weekend of events, promotions and offers.”

New program elements this year include:
• Westfield Family Fridays, the second Friday of every month, will be held at 15 centers around the country. WFamily has partnered with Radio Disney and MomsLikeMe.com to create family-friendly entertainment experiences featuring music, activities, and giveaways, and providing a fun and safe family destination all summer long for parents with children from five to 10 years of age. The current schedule of events is as follows (subject to change):

July 9 – Phineas & Ferb Summer Fun
August 13 – Back to School Celebrity Style Event
September 10 – Fall Pajama Party

• Retailer Calendar – a monthly publication that will put member families on the inside track for information about family and child-friendly retailer events, activities and special offers taking place at participating centers.
