Women love birthdays. They remember them. They expect you to remember them. They remember any occasion on which it is customary for them to receive a gift. They remember these days as if they were the combination to a safe. If a woman forgets her friend’s birthday, the result can be catastrophic. My wife once sent her friend a card, which came one day late, and the girl, did not speak to her for a year. Whatever you do fellows, write down the date. If you forget, look at her ID when she is in the bathroom. For super bonus points, remember her mother’s birthday. Men, when left alone, do not remember birthdays. They don’t expect their friends to remember theirs, because they have no idea when anyone else’s birthday is. I love the fact that women remember birthdays, because it is women who bring large parties to J.R.’s Comedy Club to celebrate. Bring eight or more people to J.R.’s for dinner and the show during the month of your birthday, and the birthday person gets dinner and the show for free.
