Often times, we have piles of photos just stacking up waiting to be scrapbooked and we wonder how we will get through them all.  Additionally, we want beautiful pages inside our books.  Using simple colors, such as black and white, combined with a great accent color, such as red, gives great dramatic color effect.  Also, using clean lines and large graphical embellishments, allows the eye to feel like there is a lot of design going on while allowing you to complete the page fairly rapidly.  This layout combines both simplicity and beauty in one space.  Let’s get started!
Materials required:
• 4×6 Black & White Photo
• 5” x 12” piece of black cardstock
• 5 ¼” x 5 ¼” piece of black
cardstock
• Chipboard Letters
• Black & White flower
• Red Bling
• 3 different Black and White papers
• Pop-Up Dots
We used My Mind’s Eye’s Lush line for this project, utilizing the Black “Damask” Paper and the Black “Finch” Paper.  Both of these papers are flocked, which adds a beautiful three dimensional effect to the finished piece and a wonderful lush appearance.
Cut your Black “Finch” Paper to 5” x 5”; pay special attention to where the Finch is so that you have the design featured correctly.  Mat the Finch onto the 5 ¼” x 5 ¼” piece of black cardstock.  Using Pop-Up Dots, mat this section onto the blackside of the Finch paper (Gridded black paper).
Next, adhere the 5” x 12” piece of black cardstock approximately 2 ½” up from the bottom of the Damask paper. Adhere your picture to the right hand side and adhere the Finch piece to the left. Embellish with your black and white flowers and your red bling.
