I had the wonderful opportunity to sit and have coffee with professional welterweight, boxer Sid “The Messenger” El Haraak. London born and of Moroccan decent, Sid made his way to the United States, where he began boxing at age 14. With 60 amateur fights and a stellar record of 52-8, he turned pro in 2008 and has since fought 10 fights, with nine wins and four of them by way of knockout. Actor, comedian and musician James “Jim” Belushi, was spotted in Placerita Canyon just the other month. Jim was filming The Defenders, a new CBS series. “It was an all day, late into the night work day for everyone, but they were all so nice. The crew was awesome, too,” states resident Diana Schwesinger. Jim Belushi is known for his title role of James “Jim” Orenthal on the sitcom According to Jim.
You may recognize her from the ABC Television reality dating show The Bachelor, Season 11 and The Bachelorette, Season 4, and him from The Bachelorette, Season 5. It’s reality tv stars DeAnna Pappas and Michael Stagliano. They were seen in at the New You Women’s Expo event at the Hyatt Valencia on Saturday, July 31. They were kind enough to take a picture with Santa Clarita resident Mary Gregory.
