Chefs Battle It Out at This Year’s VIP Reception

It was an evening of delicious food, wine, competition and entertainment at the VIP Reception to kickoff this year’s Soroptimist International of Greater Santa Clarita Valley’s Sip Stroll and Savor the Sounds 3rd Annual Wine Affair.  Held at the home of Shelley and G. Marshall Hann, the October 15 event was held exclusively for sponsors.  Chefs from the Santa Clarita Valley battled it out for Top Chef of SCV and TPC Executive Chef Daniel Otto took the crown.  Other participating chefs included Hyatt Valencia Sous Chef Rolf Rothen, Robinson Ranch Sous Chef Johnny Kolouch, Celebrity Chef David Lawrence, Barcelona Executive Chef and Owner Dominic Lahmidi.  Their creations were paired with wine from the Private Cellars of Robert Schwartz, John Geraci, Chip Sterndale and TGIC Importers Inc.  The evening also included music from Danny the DJ.  Robert Gandara of Secure Horizons was the title sponsor of the event.
