On Sunday, September 26, Stonefire Grill hosted their 10th Anniversary Celebration party at their Valencia location. Approximately 2,500 people came through their doors between 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. helping to raise more than $18,000 for Cystic Fibrosis. “Sunday was a big day for us,” said co-owner Mary Harrigan.
“We are so happy we could not only support Cystic Fibrosis, but also honor our loyal patrons who were able to come out to celebrate with us. It’s because of them we will be here in another 10 years.”The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation (CFF) has always been a favorite nonprofit organization of Stonefire Grill because Mary and Maureen Harrigan, sister’s and co-owners of Stonefire, have a nephew who suffers from the fatal lung disease. CFF is the leading foundation nationwide working to assure the development of the means to cure and control cystic fibrosis and to improve the quality of life for those with the disease.
To honor their 10 years in business, Stonefire produced the world’s largest carrot cake, a 10ft x 10 ft creation of their signature dessert. For a minimum of $1 donation, the public came out to Valencia and enjoyed a buffet lunch of Mesquite BBQ Tri Tip, freshly-baked Breadsticks, BBQ Chopped Salad, Garlic Mashed Potatoes, plus each person got a slice of the carrot cake.
The other six Southern California locations also joined in and anyone who donated $1 or more received a voucher for a free slice of carrot cake to enjoy at their leisure.
