He is a true inspiration and pleasure to be around.  His presence and advice encourage you to stand up and make a change in your daily life.  His name is Dr. Sam Kojoglanian and he is the Mender of Hearts!
I have had the pleasure of hearing Dr. Sam, also known as Dr. Rap, speak and no matter how many times I do, he still finds ways to creatively inspire and promote heart health.  OTT A heart to heart 1On Wednesday, October 5, Dr. Kojoglanian gave a heart health lecture, “Two-Step Heart Health” to a lovely group of seniors and caregivers at Pacifica Senior on Lyons Avenue.  So, what were those two steps you may ask?  Dr. Sam asks for a “Commit to Quit” and suggests “Eat Less & Move More.”
Laughter and smiles filled the room as Dr. Sam also discussed the difference between living foods and diseased foods.  Foods that are dense in energy but nutrient poor like potato chips, soda pop and calorie-ridden cookies are diseased foods.  Living foods include fresh produce and anytime you can add living food into your diet you are one step ahead.
