It was a night of dinner, fun costumes, and choral singing at the Valencia Hyatt on Sunday, November 14. The Santa Clarita Master Chorale rocked the house when they performed show tunes from, The Sound of Music, South Pacific, Cinderella, Oklahoma and more. A highlight of the evening was when pianist Jan Sanborn played her arrangement of My Funny Valentine.
The energy and dedication of the performers was apparent throughout the evening as they performed all the favorites from Rodgers & Hammerstein. The evening concluded with the kids from ESCAPE Theatre appearing as the Sound of Music’s Von Trapp children, they wore adorable, blue uniforms in their rendition of So Long, Farewell. The 6 p.m. showing, directed by Steven Applegate and produced by Marybeth Margrave, was an enjoyable night for all guests, with many who couldn’t help singing along.
