I wonder how KITT felt about that? You know, the talking car driven by Hasselhoff in Knight Rider, a popular 80s show about an advanced car with artificial intelligence. I suspect it would have warned him not to ride in cars from other popular television shows.
Kyle Massey, star of the new Disney Channel show, Cory In The House, and former co-star of That’s So Raven, also took time away from his shooting schedule to feel the thrills and spills at Magic Mountain as well. He jumped right on Tatsu, the park’s 16th coaster, replacing their second wooden one, Psyclone.
There’s no replacing the incredible talents of Academy-award winning actor Joe Pesci. I joined him for lunch at John Nardone, Sr.’s Italian eatery, Nardones in Newhall for an exclusive interview to be published in the August/September issue of élite magazine. Pesci’s passion for traditional homemade Italian food, handed down from his mother and grandmother is, needless to say strong, just like some of the characters he portrayed in such movies as Goodfellas, Raging Bull and Lethal Weapon II. I wonder if his character, con man Leo Getz, could have slid under the radar and fit in with the cast of the television show Las Vegas, shooting in the Santa Clarita Valley this season? I suspect that the combination could make for a very interesting clash of characters.
Josh Duhamel from the Las Vegas television show couldn’t travel under the radar of Amy Lustig from Valencia, an adoring fan who spotted him shooting an episode at a Newhall shopping mall.
“My hair stylist Nate told me that he had seen Josh Duhamel, my favorite actor, go inside the China Palace restaurant so we walked over there and I asked the security guard if I could meet him the next time they were in between takes.
I stood outside for about 20 minutes and he came out to meet me. I had to reschedule my hair appointment for the following week, but it was totally worth it,” said Lustig.
Another adoring fan of television actors, 12-year-old Jessica Ewing from Santa Clarita recently spotted Lindsey Shaw, one of the stars of the Nicklodeon Channel’s show, Ned’s Declassified School Survival Guide. Shaw was indulging in a healthy Razzamataz smoothie at Jamba Juice in Valencia. She is Ewing’s favorite character on the show that she says teaches her about ways to navigate the sometimes tricky situations one can run into when attending middle school. Guess she decided approaching the star would go against being, “Cool,” and instead decided to indulge in a cool drink.
Speaking of cool, watch for a very cool local musician interview profile with popular saxophonist Everette Harpe. I recently interviewed him for the story and trust me, he is very cool, yes, melt your heart cool and kind (shhhh, don’t tell anyone I said that).
