We have really big news and are so happy to finally share it with you!
We have decided to take our company in a new and exciting direction starting in 2011. We have truly loved being here for you as a retail store, but over the past year or so we have felt our passion for arts and crafts moving in another direction. So much of our time has been spent on the business aspects of operating a retail store, not leaving us as much time as we would like to pursue our true passion – creating. We have had so much fun creating for you over the years, whether it was workshops, classes, kits, or events, and we want that to be the new focus and direction our company takes in the coming year.
We have some amazing things planned for 2011…so we are going to be closing the storefront, leaving us time to focus on creative events, workshops, crops and other new adventures we have in store for you. Our events will be held in different venues, some here in the Santa Clarita Valley and some in other areas of Southern California. We’ve been busy lining up different locations, as well as incredible artists/designers for these events, and will be sending out more information as details are finalized.
And because we really love shopping too…we are going to have an on-line shop where we will still be offering you products, kits, one-of-a-kind handmade items, etc. The items we will be offering on-line aren’t just products and kits you can get anywhere… think CHA meets one-of-a-kind vintage finds! So in addition to planning events for you, we are going to keep shopping for you too! Our first stop of course will be CHA in January (the greatest shopping spree for retailers). We are really looking forward to seeing all of the new product and will be picking only the best of the best to bring to our on-line shop. Then we’re off to all of our favorite Southern California shopping venues to find you the most unique vintage items to add to your creative projects. We will also be making a few changes to our blog. We will be offering class tutorials, product tutorials and so much more… so keep checking back.
As the owner of Crafter’s Connection, I feel so lucky to have had the same team of designers for the past five years and feel even more lucky that they will all be taking this new journey with me. As we work out more of the details, we will keep you posted through email, Facebook, and our blog – so if you haven’t yet, please be sure to add us on Facebook, and follow our blog – as those, as well as email, will be the primary way we will communicate with all of you. If you have a gift certificate that hasn’t yet been used, please try to use it in the next few weeks. However, if that’s not possible, don’t worry, we will honor gift certificates for future purchases at our on-line shop, or for future classes, events, etc. We are really going to miss seeing all of you on a day-to-day basis, but we are really excited about our new adventure, and we know we will see a lot of you at our future events. We will be keeping the storefront open through Saturday January 15, 2011. Also, we will be sending out a separate email soon, letting you know about upcoming sales at the store!
