Happy New Year everyone. I hope this issue arrived in time for you to make last minute reservations to one of our legendary New Year’s Eve Comedy shows. We have two shows at J.R.’s Comedy Club in Valencia. This will be our 13th year. We have on show at LeChene in Agua Dulce, where we have brought a show the last six years. We also have two shows at Headliners Comedy Club at Fiamme in Thousand Oaks, and two at Ventura Harbor Comedy Club. We are starting off 2011 with a bang!
We will have a surprise headliner on New Year’s night, January 1.
January 7 and 8 we have Derrick Cameron, who recently performed for us at our benefit show for the Santa Clarita Homeless Shelter. Derrick has been on The Tonight Show, and is one of the busiest Cruise ship comedians in the country. Also on the bill is Phil Mazo, making his first appearance at J.R.’s.
January 14 and 15 we have the outrageous Jason Stuart from Comedy Central and tons of episodic television shows. Appearing with Jason is the exotic Gulden from The Tonight show. She comes all the way from Turkey.
January 21 and 22 we have a very special event with Carlos Alazraqui from Reno 911 on Comedy Central. Carlos is also the voice of the Taco Bell Chihuahua, and one of the quickest most improvisational minds in the business. Along with Carlos we have Brian Kiley, who is a writer for The Conan O’Brien show.
January 28 and 29 we end the month with the sensational Jen Kober, who loves to pick on the skinny women in the audience. She just shot an episode of HBO’s Curb Your Enthusiasm with Larry David, and has been seen on Comedy Central, Comic Unleashed, and Showtime.
