Following the season of gift-giving and warm tidings, the year 2011 may begin with resolutions. You may start out with practical ideas that include saving money, losing weight, increasing time for exercise, and considering how you can reduce stress. Let me propose something else. Please consider what you can do to help a child or group of children have a fresh start in 2011.
Inner Circle Foster Care and Adoption Services will approach 2011 with heartfelt goals of establishing healthy, happy homes where children who have experienced incredible hardships will have “fresh starts.” To begin with they will establish new relationships with temporary or permanent families that provide security, safety, and love. They will be treated with kindness and respect. They will be provided opportunities to learn and grow. They will have healthy relationships with peers and adults that promote their emotional and physical wellbeing.
