The City of Santa Clarita Transit has been chosen to receive a 2010 Best APWA Project of the Year Award from the Southern California Chapter of the American Public Works Association (APWA).  The APWA award recognizes public agencies for their outstanding projects and programs.
Golden Valley Road Bridge is part of the Cross Valley Connector, a major east-west corridor that reduces travel times and directly links State Route 14, State Route 126, Interstate 5, and Sierra Highway.
“The Golden Valley Road Bridge has provided tremendous benefits for our community and we are honored to be recognized for the project,” said Mayor Laurene Weste.
APWA is the professional Association of Public Works leaders throughout the United States and Canada.  The Southern California Chapter covers Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside and San Bernardino counties.
