Some of you may remember at your grandmas or parent’s house, the “family photo” wall that you could peruse all the generations of the family. I have fond memories of hearing stories told that went along with the pictures… and then there were a pair of silhouette portraits side by side that I will never forget. They were of my mom and her sister when they were teenagers. The silhouette’s always fascinated me; the details that were captured and the accuracy of the portrayal was astonishing. To this day you can tell which one is which and they are over 40 years old.
At Ma Maison we are so excited to announce that we will be hosting a silhouette artist at the store on April 9 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. You will be able to sit and have a silhouette done on site or you can bring a profile portrait and the artist will be able to render one for you: pet photos are welcome too! The cost is $25 each and $15 for duplicates. The price is very reasonable for the unique opportunity to capture profiles using this silhouette format. They are beautiful keepsakes to be treasured for a lifetime and a great gift to give to family members for any occasion. Don’t forget Mother’s Day is just around the corner!.
