Single Mothers Outreach Steps Back in Time: Cheers to 30 Years!

Do you remember? “Toy Story” became the first fully computer-animated feature film, “Gangsta’s Paradise” by Coolio topped the charts, and Brad Pitt was named People’s Sexiest Man Alive. Amazon sold its first book. Ebay was brand new, and the Starbucks Frappuccino was released. The year was 1995.
Best of all, Single Mothers Outreach (SMO) was founded to empower single parents and their children by providing hope, support and resources so families can become self-sustaining and thrive.
Single Mothers Outreach is proud to announce its upcoming charity event, Cheers to 30 Years!, taking place on May 9, 2025 at Sand Canyon Country Club. This event aims to raise awareness and funds for local single-parent families, bringing together community members, local businesses, and supporters for a meaningful cause.
The event theme will celebrate our 30th anniversary. To capture the spirit of the era, we will incorporate fun ‘90s pop culture references throughout the evening. Guests can enjoy a mesmerizing magician, a tequila tasting experience, a thrilling prize wall, and an assortment of hot hors d’oeuvres paired with fine wine. The event will also feature live entertainment, silent auction, a look back and acknowledgement of our past Empowering Hearts honorees, and more. Attendees will have the opportunity to contribute to SMO through donations, participation, and sponsorships.

Proceeds from Single Mothers Outreach’s anniversary event will allow single-parent families to continue benefiting from resources and services such as therapy, food, clothing, life-skills & money management classes, and more.
