On Saturday, March 19, guests paid tribute to two heroes of the Domestic Violence Center of Santa Clarita Valley at the Elks Lodge in Canyon Country.  The Mardi Gras themed evening honored Assemblyman Cameron Smyth and Hunt Braly along with two dozen other community leaders who were presented with certificates of recognition for all they do for the Domestic Violence Center .  Assemblyman Smyth was presented with the Keith Richman Humanitarian Award and Hunt Braly, husband of board member Pamela Braly, received the Above and Beyond Award.  
The mission of the Domestic Violence Center of Santa Clarita Valley is to promote and preserve non-violent, non-abusive family systems.  The Center achieves goals through community awareness, education and assistance to families victimized by domestic violence.
