Dianne Curtis was awarded “Woman of the Year” for L.A. County’s Fifth District by Supervisor-Fifth District and Mayor, Michael D. Antonovich.  Dianne was presented the award at the Los Angeles County Commission for Women “Women of the Year” Awards Luncheon at the Millennium Biltmore Hotel on March 14.
Dianne is President of Zonta International (ZI), a global organization of executive and professionals working together to advance the status of women worldwide through service and advocacy.  ZI’s culturally and professionally diverse membership includes more than 31,000 members who belong to more than 1,200 Zonta clubs in 65 countries.  She also serves as President of the ZI Foundation, the official charitable foundation of ZI.  Funds provided by the Foundation help women and girls overcome gender barriers to educational and professional advancement; provide opportunities for women to earn higher wages and achieve economic independence; ensure that women and children have access to quality, affordable health care; and strive to end violence against women while helping survivors of violence rebuild their lives.
Dianne has been a member of Santa Clarita Valley Zonta Club since 1980 and was installed as a previous Club President by Supervisor Antonovich.
