Before she was Rock and Roll Hall of Fame legend Carole King, she was Carole Klein, a spunky, young songwriter from Brooklyn with a unique voice. The incredible true story of Carole King’s journey that takes you back to where it all began – and takes you on the ride of a lifetime. This Tony® and Grammy® Award-winning musical phenomenon is filled with the songs you remember and a story you’ll never forget.

Fresh off directing Elf The Musical, The Rat Pack Lounge, and CATS, Director Ted Tobin is thrilled to bring Beautiful: The Carole King Musical to our stage. He said, “You already know and love Carole King’s music – but you’ll be amazed at the iconic hits she wrote that you never knew were hers. More than just great songs, Beautiful is an entertaining , heartfelt, and uplifting journey through her life that will stay with you long after the final note.”
Entertainment Weekly said of the original Broadway production, “Beautiful’ is a joyous celebration! Douglas McGrath’s smart, well-crafted, and funny book cleverly threads together a memorable catalog of early rock hits.”
“Carole King fans will love it!” said Newsday of the Broadway production.
Chicago Tribune described the original production, Beautiful “shows us a reluctant star, a woman who only really started singing out of necessity and would always have been happier with a few hit songs, a nice home and a man she really could trust… ‘Beautiful,’ in its best moments, manages to suggest that the life of our artist is really just small moments that fall together, unknowingly.”
“‘Beautiful’ is a must-see if you’re a King fan, or you’re fascinated by the music business during a potent time when chart hits were coming out of cubicles in places like the Brill Building and 1650 Broadway, where King and husband Gerry Goffin set up shop,” said NBC New York of the original production.
Beautiful: The Carole King Musical opens September 27th and will run until November 1st. Tickets are $24 for Adults, $20 for Seniors (62+) and $15 for Students. For showtimes or to reserve tickets, call 661-799-2702 or visit www.canyontheatre.org.
