Inner Circle’s foster parents are supported by Master’s leveled social workers who help them understand the crucial stages children go through when separated from their families of origin.  For some children this is the beginning of major change that may ultimately lead to adoption.  Some children weather the change triumphantly.  Some exhibit problems and can be supported when the path looks uncertain.
A little boy becomes frustrated at school and resists doing an assignment that his teacher gave him.  On another day, he swears under his breath and is sent to the principal’s office.  The next week his foster parents are called and asked to come pick him up.  This child has been loved and cared for two years and is waiting to be adopted by his foster parents.  There have been countless delays.  What turmoil must be going on inside of him?  Will I still be loved and accepted?  Will they really adopt me?  You may be the type of person who can help a child or sibling group navigate this path to belonging and being accepted.
