The Brittany Foundation Finding Their Forever Home – December 2025

A non-profit humane organization dedicated to the rescue and rehabilitation of homeless dogs, has several dogs for adoption.

BONITA

Senior is not the word we would use to describe this energetic 15 year young Poodle.  Bonita must have visited the Fountain of Youth.  After her owner passed with no family to care for her, she came to us with her two “sisters”, Pita and Chiquita.  Chiquita has since been adopted.  Bonita has discovered fluffy beds and yummy soft treats (since she had all but 2 teeth removed, yikes).  We think she might like to have a new home or even a foster home where she could be the true princess.  “Home for the Holidays”, anyone?  

CHIP

Chip was running out of time at the Castaic shelter before we were able to welcome him here. He is a playful American Bulldog mix, around two years old, and strong-willed. He has already been here for a year and a half.  We are looking for experienced adopters and we will even cover the cost of Chip’s additional training to ensure a smooth transition into his forever home. FLUFFY

Fluffy is cute, but he’s also a little complicated — and that’s okay! This Golden Spaniel mix is smart, playful, and full of personality, but he needs time and patience to feel safe with new people. If you rush things, he’ll let you know (he’s not shy about setting boundaries, and yes, that can include a warning nip).  Once you earn his trust, Fluffy transforms into the sweetest, silliest, most loyal sidekick. He loves his toys, enjoys a good game of fetch, and will keep you laughing with his goofy antics.   Fluffy does best in an adult-only home with someone who understands that building trust takes time. We ask that potential adopters visit him here at the rescue several times before taking him home so you can start your bond on the right paw.  Fluffy wishes you a fun-filled holiday which, hopefully, he can enjoy with you!!

HOLLY

Holly was adopted as a puppy from another rescue, but was then returned to that rescue when they “started a family.”  When that rescue shut down, we welcomed her here.  Holly has now lived over 5 years of her life in a rescue. She’s the perfect medium-sized dog, and while she is not a fan of other dogs or kids, and can be a little quirky, she is as sweet as can be with all of us. She just needs some time to get to know you.  And, of course, treats help!   She loves leisurely mornings and greets everyone she meets with a toy and tag wag.  Admittedly, she can be a little grumpy and quirky from time-to-time, but can’t we all?  We would happily consider a local foster or a sponsor for her too.  Happy “Holly”days!!
JASPER

When Jasper was first surrendered to us, we never imagined that behavioral challenges would stand in the way of finding him a forever home. He shines in training sessions. He is smart, eager, and a true star student. But when it comes to physical interaction, he can sometimes become uncomfortable and overstimulated, making adoption difficult for him.  That’s why Jasper will remain in our care where he’s safe, loved, and continuing to learn at his own pace.  A monthly sponsorship helps cover his daily needs, medical care, enrichment, and continued training.  All the pups can be checked out on our Instagram page: @thebrittanyfoundation    And, of course, Jasper would be grateful for some holidays toys and treats!!

LEONA

This spunky little 12 year old Shih Poo lost her family due to a move where, sadly, they couldn’t take her.  She is a self-confident little senior who moved right in and felt right at home with the other senior littles.  Leona is on meds twice a day and if you can handle that, and some grooming, then Leona is the gal for you.   If you are interested in meeting sweet Leona, give us a shout and we’ll arrange a visit.  In the meantime, Leona wishes you a most fabulous holiday.   Save some treats for her!!

MARLOWE

Marlowe was dumped at the South LA Shelter in January 2023 by the only family he had ever known.  He was short on time there, before we welcomed him to the Ranch. He’s now been here for over 2 years. Everyday he is so excited to see everyone, go for his long walk, and then chill for the rest of the day.  We think he’s about 13 now, but can still out-walk every dog here, and lives with our other senior littles.   To learn more about Marlowe, please visit our Instagram page: @thebrittanyfoundation   In the meantime, Marlowe could use a sponsor to cover his vet visits and meds.  Marlowe wishes you a special holiday season (and he’d love some holiday treats sent to him!!)

VERA

Vera is a vibrant and playful 9-year-old Chihuahua.  After a divorce situation, she was surrendered to the Castaic shelter, where she felt frightened and overwhelmed. Unfortunately, she received the “Rescue Only” label, indicating that a rescue organization needed to step in. Since joining us, she has thrived remarkably.  She is incredibly athletic and full of energy.  Vera recently entered our training program and has become a star.  She wishes you a “Vera” Merry Christmas!!  You can see more of Vera at our Instagram page:  @thebrittanyfoundation
