A Note From the Publishers – July 2026

As we celebrate the month of July, we are reminded of the values that make our nation and our community so special—freedom, patriotism, unity, and pride. It is a time to gather with family and friends, enjoy summer traditions, and reflect on the many blessings we share here in the Santa Clarita Valley.
This month, we are honored to feature some of our community’s dedicated leaders on the cover of Santa Clarita Magazine: Mayor Laurene Weste, Mayor Pro Tem Patsy Ayala, Council Member Jason Gibbs, and Council Member Marsha McLean. We thank them for their continued commitment to making Santa Clarita a wonderful place to live, work, and raise a family.

July also brings one of Santa Clarita’s most cherished traditions—the Fourth of July Parade in Old Town Newhall. For generations, families have lined the streets to celebrate America’s independence with patriotic floats, marching bands, community groups, and hometown pride. It is a wonderful reminder of the spirit that unites us and the traditions that connect us from one generation to the next.
