A Note From the Publishers – September 2026
After what seemed like an endless stretch of soaring temperatures, there is nothing quite like feeling those first cooler temperatures arrive in Santa Clarita. September brings a welcome change of season, and with it comes a new issue of Santa Clarita Magazine filled with stories, celebrations, community events and plenty of reasons to get out and enjoy everything our Valley has to offer.
We are especially proud of this month’s cover, which shines a spotlight on three wonderful organizations that make such a difference in our community.
First, we congratulate Child & Family Center as they celebrate their incredible 50th Anniversary! For five decades, they have been there for children and families in our community, providing essential services, support and hope. We have been fortunate to work with and support Child & Family Center for many years, and we are honored to help celebrate this remarkable milestone. Fifty years of service is certainly something to celebrate!
We are also pleased to feature College of the Canyons and its Swing for Student Success Golf Tournament. COC has been an important part of the Santa Clarita Valley for generations, helping students pursue their educational and career goals. We are happy to support COC, just as they continue to support our community, and organizations like ours, through their commitment to education, partnerships and student success.
Our third cover feature recognizes the Alzheimer’s Association 2026 Walk to End Alzheimer’s, an organization whose work touches so many families. Their dedication to raising awareness, supporting caregivers and families, advancing research and ultimately finding a cure is truly inspiring. We encourage everyone to learn more about this important cause and consider getting involved.
There is so much more happening in our community this fall. Be sure to turn to page 20 for our coverage of the 6th Annual SCV Sheriff’s Foundation Golf Tournament, another wonderful event that brings our community together in support of our local law enforcement. And mark your calendars for the Sheriff’s Poker Tournament on October 3rd, we hope to see many of you there!
And, of course, we hope you will join us for Bras for a Cause, one of our community’s most inspiring and entertaining events. We are always amazed by the creativity, generosity and heart that go into this wonderful evening, and we hope to see you there!
We are proud to bring you, our Beauty, Health & Wellness Guide which highlights local businesses and services to help you take care of yourself and your family. Our Fall Home & Garden Directory is filled with local professionals to help with your next project, and our always-popular Dining Guide is here to help you discover a new favorite restaurant, or return to an old one.
As always, thank you to our advertisers, contributors, photographers, writers, community organizations and everyone who helps make each issue possible. Most of all, thank you to you, our readers, for continuing to support Santa Clarita Magazine. We are proud to be part of this community and grateful that you allow us to share its people, businesses, organizations and stories with you each month.
Here’s to cooler days, a beautiful fall and another wonderful month in the Santa Clarita Valley!
Until next time!
Sincerely, Linda, Moe and Alexander Hafizi
