SCV Democrats Announce Endorsed Candidates for November Election

The Santa Clarita Valley Democrats have announced their slate of endorsed candidates for the November 3 election, highlighting local candidates seeking positions on the Santa Clarita City Council, Santa Clarita Valley Water Agency Board and several area school boards.
Under the theme “United by Solutions, Driven by Community,” the organization’s endorsements focus on races that directly impact residents throughout the Santa Clarita Valley.
For Santa Clarita City Council, the SCV Democrats have endorsed Brett Haddoak for District 2, Valerie Bradford for District 4 and Kelvin Driscoll for District 5. These district-based races give voters the opportunity to select representatives who will help shape decisions affecting neighborhoods, public safety, infrastructure, development, recreation and other city services.
In the Santa Clarita Valley Water Agency Board races, the organization has endorsed Noah Ropp for District 1 and Lynne Plambeck for District 3. Water agency board members play an important role in decisions surrounding local water reliability, conservation, infrastructure and long-term planning.
Education is also a major focus of the endorsed slate. For the William S. Hart Union School District Board, the organization has endorsed Julee Brooks for Trustee Area 2 and Stacy Fortner for Trustee Area 5. For the Saugus Union School District Board, endorsements include Larry Grable for Trustee Area 1, Alisa Gentry for Trustee Area 2 and Chris Trunkey for Trustee Area 5. Reza Rassool has received the endorsement for Santa Clarita Community College District Trustee Area 1.
