Election season is an important time for every community, and here in the Santa Clarita Valley, the decisions made at the ballot box can have a very real impact on our everyday lives.
Local government touches many of the things we often take for granted—from the streets we travel and the parks we enjoy to public safety, planning, development, water resources and the services that help keep our community running. Our local school districts make decisions that affect thousands of students and families, while our water agency is responsible for managing one of our community’s most essential resources. The City Council helps shape the future of Santa Clarita, and the Santa Clarita Community College District oversees an institution that serves students and families throughout the Valley.
This November, voters will have the opportunity to consider candidates for a variety of local offices, including Santa Clarita City Council, the Santa Clarita Valley Water Agency Board, local school district governing boards and the Santa Clarita Community College District. Voters will also be considering candidates for county, state and federal offices.
For many residents, local elections can be particularly meaningful because the people elected to these positions make decisions that affect our neighborhoods and our community on a daily basis. They help determine priorities, oversee budgets, establish policies and make decisions about the future of the organizations and agencies they represent.
In this special election section, Santa Clarita Magazine is pleased to provide a forum for candidates to introduce themselves to our readers. The pages that follow offer candidates an opportunity to share their backgrounds, experience, priorities and perspectives with the Santa Clarita Valley community.
Each candidate advertisement represents the individual campaign that placed it and reflects that candidate’s own views and positions. Santa Clarita Magazine does not endorse or oppose any candidate or political party through this section.
Our goal is to encourage our readers to become informed participants in the election process. We encourage voters to take the time to learn about the candidates appearing on their ballots, review their qualifications and positions, and seek information from reliable and official election sources before making their decisions.
The Santa Clarita Valley is a diverse community with many different perspectives, experiences and priorities. While we may not always agree on every issue, participating in our elections gives each eligible voter an opportunity to have a voice in the future of our community.
Whether you have lived in the Valley for decades or are relatively new to the area, your participation matters. We encourage all eligible voters to learn, participate and make their voices heard on November 3, 2026.
