Lucinda Sue Crosby – Book Signing:
We are pleased to welcome author Lucinda Sue Crosby to our boutique for a book signing of her critically acclaimed novel, “Francesca of Lost Nation.” She has been awarded First Place in General Fiction by the Los Angeles Independent Book Publishers, which is the third literary nod earned by Lucinda since her book’s release. She is a woman of many talents and has made a name for herself as an award-winning journalist, an award-winning environmental educator with a water specialty, a co-writer of four tele-films, a professional tennis player, a television sports commentator, a Hollywood actress, and a published and recorded Nashville songwriter. Her song, Stories They Could Tell, was co-written with multi-Grammy winner Carl Jackson.
Lucinda is the daughter of Lawrence Welk announcer, Lou Crosby, and RKO actress Linda Hayes, and she is the goddaughter of Roy Rogers. Stop by to meet Lucinda at her book signing!
Food and Sweets: Last year’s popular Canyon Country caterer, La Tradicion Mexican Restaurant, will provide delicious meals for us again this year. The Emblem Club will be selling tasty baked goods from the ovens of some of the finest local bakers who are Emblem and Elks members.
Emblem Club: The Santa Clarita Emblem Club #459 members conduct fundraisers throughout the year to benefit local charity projects, such as: veterans, senior citizens and home-delivered meals, domestic violence victims, food pantry, food baskets for needy families, toys for needy children during the holidays, scholarships for students, California Hearing Dog Program, homeless shelter, animal charities, and others in the Santa Clarita Valley.
Everyone is invited to shop, have lunch and dessert, and enjoy the day. Together, we are making a positive difference in our community.
