Hello again, Comedy Fans!
We have an awesome month of October lined up for you. We start out on September 30 and October 1 with one of our all time favorite headliners, Brian Sheil. Brian does comedy, plays the guitar, does impressions, and hilarious characters. He has done our New Year’s Eve Shows a couple of times and is a crowd favorite. Also on the bill is the very funny Dan Grueter, who is also a headliner.
Then on October 7 and October 8 we have a comedian named Saleem, making his first appearance at our club. He just did a show for me in Ventura and he is sensational with his own Comedy Central special on the way. Also appearing is Tony DiJamco, “The Pilipino Fireplug” who just did his own Showtime Special.
October 14 and October 15 we have one of the hottest young comedians in the country, Andrew Norelli. Andrew just taped his own Showtime special, and has made recent appearances on Craig Ferguson, and Comics Unleashed.
On October 21 and October 22 we have one of the original Outlaws of Comedy, Allan Stephan. Allan went on to have a spectacular career as writer and producer of Roseanne, and many other shows and movies. Also on the bill is Claude Shires who does some uncanny voice impressions and characters.
Finally we round out the month with Kivi Rogers, one of the very best comedians in the country, with appearances on last Comic Standing, The Tonight Show, HBO, and Everybody Loves Raymond.
This leads me to the biggest news of all. I am producing the first ever Ventura Comedy Festival on November 11 and November 13. There will be 32 shows with 100 comedians at seven locations – Louie Anderson, Jeff Garcia, Gallagher, and Craig Shoemaker will all be there.
