Tom’s Shoes: Style your Soles comes to the Santa Clarita Valley. On Saturday, November 12 from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m., several local businesses in Santa Clarita came together at Rituals Colour Salon to raise money for the SCV Youth Project, collect food for the local SCV Food Pantry, and kicked off a two month toy drive to benefit the Child and Family Center of SCV.
“As we head into the holiday season, in a rough economy, we started thinking early about how we can help our local charities service our community better.  We believe that everyone can make a difference in our community and the world by giving just a little bit back,” said Renee Kaehny, owner of Rituals Colour Salon-Aveda.
Seven local businesses including: Rituals Colour Salon-Aveda, Valencia Dental Group, Valencia Optometry, Westridge Verizon, Clear Images, Fat Burger and Nick and Willy’s, joined forces at the local “Style your Sole” event.  Many custom Tom’s shoes were created with local artists on hand to help local residents decorate and personalize their shoes.  The food drive and toy drive that kicked off on Saturday, November 12 will be continued through December 15.  The donations can be dropped off at Rituals Colour Salon at 26918 The Old Road in Valencia.
