It finally has happened… the Santa Clarita Artist Association has now been given a space for them to open an art gallery, which will be a wonderful place to see original art created by members of the artist association. Whoopee! I can hardly believe it. Yes, indeed the city marketing manager and the Town Center business office have offered the site in the Town Center right next to the Pottery Barn, 24251 Town Center Drive, Ste. 125 in Valencia. In the past two weeks the members of the artist association have painted the walls inside this space and removed the old carpeting and with over one dozen volunteers have erected the panels for the art to be displayed on. The art chosen was juried of member artwork. Whoopee again! What a great amount of artwork to be seen!
With the help of many members a small public opening was held on Friday, November 25. The big opening was held on December 12 at 6 pm. for the public to see this beautiful art exhibit. Do plan to go over to the gallery and enjoy all of the different kinds of art compositions. One visitor said, “We have some culture now in this town.” Of course I agree and have been talking about how the visual arts bring creative art statements for the residents in the community to see and enjoy.
Now this dream to have a permanent art gallery has become a reality for the Santa Clarita Artist Association. The new art gallery is the only visual art gallery in the city and it is located in the greatest location. Plan to go to this new art gallery located on Town Center Drive right next to the Pottery Barn you will have a very enjoyable experience.
