The 7th Annual Santa Clarita Valley Film Festival which was held at the Repertory East Playhouse in Old Town Newhall January 5 through 8, was the most successful event to date.  The winner in the “best film” category went to directors David and Daniel Holechek for the film A Finger, Two Dots Then Me.
Several submissions included works submitted by CalArts students and alumni, offering festival attendees a chance to enjoy independent films by some of the world’s best artists.  This year’s event included films in a variety of genres, from comedy and drama to animation and shorts.  The festival also featured films by local, regional, and national youth in the junior high and high school screening categories.
