Soroptimist International of Santa Clarita Valley is sponsoring an event to raise awareness about domestic violence. Nearly three out of four (74 percent) Americans personally know someone who is or has been a victim of domestic violence. And 30 percent of Americans say they know a woman who has been physically abused by her husband or boyfriend in the past year.
The Domestic Violence Center of Santa Clarita Valley provides shelter to victims of domestic violence and their children seeking sanctuary, solace, and safety in the emergency shelter. It also responds to crisis hotline calls and provides supportive services. A portion of the proceeds from this event will benefit the Center to help provide these vital services.
Soroptimist International of Santa Clarita Valley proudly presents Gentlemen for a Cause.
