On Wednesday, March 28, members of Soroptimist International of Santa Clarita Valley held their annual Awards Dinner at the Tournament Players Club, Valencia and honored three extraordinary women in our valley. The RUBY Award recognizes the efforts of women in their personal or professional lives working to advance the status of women, was presented to Shannon Hasper. The Violet Richardson Award recognizes young women who make the community and world a better place through their volunteer efforts, was presented to Brenna Giordano. Lastly, the Women’s Opportunity Award recognizes women, seeking to improve their lives and the lives of their families, by gaining additional skills, training and education was presented to Kristina Miller.
This awards program signifies the mission of Soroptimist International to improve the lives of women and girls in local communities and throughout the world. Soroptimist means “best for women” and we are women at our best, working together to help women to be their best.
