When doing something important it is not what you do, but how you do it. It also needs to be something that is within your purpose. If you need to ask people for their help, be sure you are asking people who are a fit for your needs.
Let’s look at something. Many years ago there was a man who had a recipe and was looking for a franchise that was interested. He asked several hundred companies if they were interested and they said, “No.” He persisted. Finally after a reasonable period of time, someone said, “Yes,” they were interested and that is how Kentucky Fried Chicken was started. Failure stops at the “no” for an answer. Success stops when you find someone who says “yes.” Consider the persistence involved in that situation.
The author of the Harry Potter books was turned down by many publishers before her first book was published. She accepted, “yes” as an answer.
Whatever you desire to present to people, whether it is an improvement within your business or your department, a new profit center within your business or something you are developing as an individual, be sure it is good, well developed and something that is important and is within your purpose. The next thing to consider is to ask people that are a fit for this particular thing.
Another very important thing is to be able to see a pathway for the completed project and to see a positive result. Then pursue this positive result with persistence. Many people give up after a few times. See a positive outcome and pursue it – believe in it. The amount of effort you put into something depends on how strongly you believe in it.
When you have something that comes from within you and it is part of your purpose there is still another element. Be sure you have positive people who support you in the effort.
It might take an extended period of time, be prepared for this.
