Choosing the correct treatment plan for non-surgical facial enhancement can be confusing, especially when it comes to choosing the most effective treatment plan for one’s individual situation.  It is very important that the client has a consultation and treatment from an experienced aesthetic practitioner.

Many times, the best approach is a multi-faceted approach with a combination of treatments.

There are laser procedures for wrinkle reduction, skin toning/tightening, vein removal and facial hair reduction. There are IPL treatments also known as photorejuvenation or skin rejuvenation, for treating brown spots/sun damage and to diffuse redness. With both the laser and IPL treatments, you cannot have had exposure to direct sun within four weeks of the procedure.  You must also use a daily sunscreen with a minimum spf 30 and self tanners may not be used within two weeks of the procedure.

Prescription-strength skin care regimens are an important part of the process.  They help continually exfoliate the skin and promote collagen and cell renewal.  By using skin care daily, it will help the laser and/or IPL penetrate into the skin easily for a more effective result.

Botox®Cosmetic relaxes facial muscles, which will reduce the appearance of wrinkles.  This gives the client a softer and rested appearance.  Botox®Cosmetic can be used to treat wrinkles in the glabella, which is located between the eyebrows, forehead, crows feet, brow lift, bunny lines (nose), peri-oral (around the mouth) wrinkles and marionette lines (droopy mouth).

Fillers can correct imperfections by filling in soft tissue wrinkles and augmenting the lips and areas of volume loss.  There are many fillers on the market and the most common ones are in two categories, temporary and semi-permanent.  Some of the most common temporary fillers include: Restylane®, Perlane®, Juvederm™ Ultra and Juvederm™Ultra Plus, all of which are hyaluronic acid products.  Two of the most common semi-permanent fillers include: Sculptra®, a polylactic acid product and Radiesse®, a calcium based product.
When used in combination, these treatments can achieve safe and effective non-surgical facial enhancements.
