“Perfect song on the radio, sing along ‘cause it’s one we know…It’s a smile, it’s a kiss, it’s a sip of wine, it’s summertime.” Kenny Chesney sang it perfectly. There’s something special about the summertime, and summertime in our Valley is nothing less than sweet.
Whether it’s enjoying an evening listening to some good tunes at the Concerts in the Park, a brisk evening walk on the paseo, or a barbecue with friends and family, it’s summertime. You probably recognize our first actor, as he’s well known for playing the role of Sam Malone from the much loved television series Cheers. Actor Ted Danson was filming at the Ice Station in Valencia. “My 10 year old daughter was there for her birthday party and although she had no idea who he was, I was excited to meet him,” states Santa Clarita resident, Shari Schlaman. “He was very nice in person and also very accommodating when asked if we would pose for this picture.”
Ted Danson is also known for his role as Dr. John Becker in the series Becker, and currently stars in the CBS drama CSI: Crime Scene Investigation. He has won two Primetime Emmy Awards, three Golden Globe Awards, to name a few, and has a star on Hollywood’s Walk of Fame.
You’ve seen him on the reality television series, Extreme Makeover: Home Edition and has also starred as a designer on the Style Network’s television series Clean House. Design expert Michael Moloney was sighted by Santa Clarita residents Doug Galbreath and Alex Hafizi. “Michael was really nice and kind enough to take a photo with us,” stated Alex.
