The 33rd annual Miss Santa Clarita Valley Scholarship Pageant was held Saturday, June 16 at the Performing Arts Center at COC. Fifty women from the Santa Clarita Valley worked very hard to win the titles of Miss Santa Clarita Valley, Mrs. SCV, Ms. SCV, Miss Teen SCV, Jr. Miss SCV, Little Miss SCV. Five hundred people attended this beautiful traditional gala.
The new Miss SCV will receive a $5,000 scholarship! The theme was “Saluting Our Troops” where the contestants and Regional Queens were dressed in military costumes. Theresa Bruneau rocked the house with singing, Oogie Woogie Bugle Boy and a tribute to Whitney Houston, I Will Always Love You. The COC Hip Hop Dance Club also performed a hot dance! Present were twelve former Miss Santa Clarita Valley Queens beginning with 1982 to current 2012. Margo Hudson who founded the Miss SCV Beauty Pageant in 1980 was a judge for the event.
