The REP is delighted to present the final chapter of our favorite detective in Sherlock Holmes: The Final Adventure, sponsored by Power Valencia.  Writer Stephen Dietz has adapted the story, based on the original 1899 play by William Gillette and Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, and brings a fresh flare that is sure to please even the purest of Sherlock fans!

The world’s greatest detective has seemingly reached the end of his remarkable career when a case presents itself that is too tempting to ignore: The King of Bohemia is about to be blackmailed by a notorious photograph and the woman at the heart of this crime is the famous opera singer, Irene Adler.  With his trusted companion, Doctor Watson, at his side, Sherlock Holmes pursues first the case, and then the affections of Miss Adler—and in doing so, marches right into the lair of his longtime adversary, that malevolent genius of crime: Professor Moriarty.  In this spirited, fast-moving and thoroughly theatrical adaptation, Steven Dietz presents Holmes at the height of his powers—surrounded by all the elements that fans of his exploits have come to expect: danger, intrigue, wit, humor and surprise.  “The game is afoot, Watson—and it is a dangerous one!”

In addition to the vibrant script, the stage is thrilled to host the men that produce every show.  Co-Artistic Directors Ovington Michael Owston and Mikee Schwinn are starring in Sherlock Holmes: The Final Adventure.  It’s an affair that shouldn’t be missed, as these men haven’t been under the lights of this stage in quite some time.  Director, and Theatre Manager, Christina Gonzalez said, “These guys come in here every day and handle the business aspects of the theatre.  Our productions are always stellar, but this is the decadent icing on the cake!  It is absolutely amazing to be able to see them both on stage, portraying legendary characters, and getting the chance to play!”
