Get ready for September with another “Cool” month of comedy. Craig Shoemaker “The Lovemaster” will be back at the club for four big shows at the start of the month on August 31 and September 1. Craig is a favorite on Showtime, and Sirius XM radio. He is one of our most requested comedians and his shows will sell out.
On September 7 and 8 we have Lou Santini, who has high energy fast paced comedy that will keep you rolling. Performing with Lou is great young comic named Flaco, who is making his first appearance at J.R.’s. He is from East LA, and he brings one of the funniest comedy characters you will ever see.
On September 14 and 15 we have Laurie Kilmartin, who was a finalist on Last Comic Standing. Laurie is now a staff writer for Conan O’Brien. She has an acerbic wit, and she just had her first book published.
Also on the bill is Don McEnery, who is an Emmy nominated writer for Seinfeld, and also the writer of A Bug’s Life.
Then on September 21 and 22, we have Keith Nelson, who not only is a terrific and sarcastic comedian, he is also the world record holder in the high jump for his age class. Not bad! Also on the bill this week is Murray Valeriano, another very funny man, but not a great high jumper!
Finally we close the month on September 28 and 29 with Don McMillan doing his brand new One Man Show. Don is one of our favorites, with appearances on The Tonight Show, Comedy Central, and HBO.
