The Single Mothers Outreach is a grassroots organization that scaffolds families facing sudden housing instability, income loss, emotional trauma, and economic and social discrimination.

Since 1995, the foundation has helped over 2,200 single parent households in Santa Clarita and the communities of Acton, Agua Dulce, Canyon Country, Castaic, Newhall, Saugus, Stevenson Ranch, Valencia and Val Verde get back on their feet.  On Saturday, August 4, the Single Mothers Outreach presented the Second Annual SCV Pool Party from 3p.m. to 8p.m. at the Santa Clarita Aquatics Center.  The event included a variety of games including a Rubber Ducky Race, Water Golf, and Water Tug of War. Along with the games, guests also enjoyed a synchronized swimming show by the LA Synchronized Swim Club.  In addition to all the fun, attendees enjoyed a BBQ dinner provided by the Lions Club.  What a way to end the summer!
