We get the question all the time on how to make the best sushi rice?  A big part of this is to have a good rice cooker, it really makes a big difference!

You will need:
Sushi rice- either short or medium grain sushi rice
Sushi rice vinegar
Rice cooker
1. Put the sushi rice in a bowl and mix with cold water to rinse.  Drain the bowl and repeat this process up to three times.
2. Measure how much sushi rice you will need according to your sushi recipe and place that amount into the rice cooker.  Add the required amount of water.
3. The rice cooker will do the rest of the job and usually be ready in 10 to 13 minutes.
4. Remove the sushi rice from the heat and let it stand for another 10 to 15 minutes but make sure the bowl is covered.
5. Now add your sushi rice vinegar to the sushi rice using a wooden spoon to help spread.
6. Let the sushi rice cool while keeping it covered until the rice is cool to the touch.
