Santa Clarita Christian School students recently visited Washington DC and Arlington National Cemetery for the annual 8th grade trip.
This year, after many years of applying, SCCS was honored with the privilege of placing a wreath at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. Four students who wrote essays on service and sacrifice were selected to lay the wreath. The trip is designed for the students to see some of the great monuments of our country and gain an understanding of what makes America great! The honor of placing the wreath was a humbling experience for the entire class and a memory it will hold special for a long time.
