I have always believed that memories are precious. I also believe that any opportunity to create special moments in your life is important. Children are the greatest producer of cherished memories, beginning at their first moments of life, continuing when they develop their own identities, then growing into their own unique personalities.
Each year has special seasons that allow us to take advantage of those special moments. Never forget that as a parent you’re part of that memory for you and your children. In the final season of the year, there are three occasions – Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas and Hanukah – that can be wonderful times, filled with special memories. We all have busy lives, but sometimes taking that extra time to create a costume or work on decorating the house with your children can deliver to them a message of love.
Working on a project that involves the whole family can make the holidays even more exciting and memorable.
Don’t go to the store and purchase someone else’s idea, create your own. It will have more meaning and give you a wonderful memory of the special time you spent together as a family, making the season even more special.
That’s probably the thing we miss most about being a parent of children – creating projects of all sorts. In fact, that’s probably why we created the ARTree.
At the ARTree we believe in including the parents of our little artists in their creative experience. That’s why, when we can, we take plenty of pictures to preserve the memories by including the parents. Make your own memories of the special occasions of the season, and don’t forget to put yourself in the picture.
