Last month I travelled all over Santa Clarita, looking for some new places to possibly meet single people.  Well the verdict is still out, but so far I have to agree with a lot of my readers, that it’s really tough to meet someone out here. Obviously it’s not for a lack of trying, or even a lack of singles.  There are thousands and thousands of single men and women out here.  So why is it so tough?

There are a lot of possible answers to this most difficult question.  One thing that I hear a lot is that Santa Clarita is a family community, and everywhere that you go, is geared for the family.  To an extent I have to agree that Santa Clarita is set up more for the family, than the single group.  Now I also have to say, and this is no way to sound negative.  I am always running into someone who has just divorced, or is going through one.  Which means there are more and more singles out here.  So again, why is it so difficult to find someone?  A lot has to do with being at the right place at the right time.  Now how do we do that?

Today it is really tough, because people are working different hours.  Some people like to go out after work during the week.  Then there are the ones who only go out on the weekends.  Everyone picks a different time to go out, some at six; others will go out at eight, and even others at 10.  A lot of that has to do with friends, their job, and of course the kids.  Once you have that figured out, now you have to pick a place.  Of course Santa Clarita does have a thousand places to go now.  The million-dollar question now is which place to pick?  I have found that if you keep going to the same place, you run a very low percentage of meeting someone new.  The best chance would be to switch it up every week.  Try someplace new, and especially visit all the communities out here.  Valencia, Saugus, Canyon Country, Newhall, and Stevenson Ranch.  I did run into someone very nice, and had a great first date.  I would enjoy hearing back from my readers that have found some good places for singles to meet, and maybe some of the not so good ones, and hopefully list some next month.  Happy Thanksgiving.
